TRIP TO INDRODA, GANDHINAGAR

Last Sunday on 14th March 2010, I visited the Indroda Nature park with Femina & Muskaan. The park is managed by Geer Foundation. It has a lovely entrance, where you have to purchase the ticket which costs Rs.20/- per adult & Rs.10/- for kids, OH !! yes not to forget the vehicle ticket of Rs.10/-. Then you have to drive in the woods where you will find "NeelGai" gazing beside the road. believe me, its a lovely site till you reach the parking lot.
From there you will have to walk inside the park. The bicycle is available on rent who do not want to walk. But we preffered to walk.
As you walk inside there is a Jurrassic park on the right side. Huge, Lifesize models of various Dinasours are kept, they almost look real. You feel

moving in the prehistoric time with all sorts of dinasours around.
As we moved out of the Jurrassic park there is a huge picnic area & dinning tables in the garden where you can have snacks & rest for a while.

There is a snake park nearby but not much to see there but as we moved ahead there is a birds park which is worth watching & then ahead to see the leapord & Tiger, but to our disappointment both of them had went inside their built cages from the outer area.
There were lots of Peacocks in the park and we were lucky to see two of them with their feathers open, it was awasome site.
There are huge cages for the deers of different kinds so that they can live in habitat they are used to. There were huge sambars also but it was too dark by that time to take the photos.
There is a giant skeleton of Blue Whale also kept in the display.
Although we went vert late in the park we enjoyed a lot in this vert small period of time.
Its worth going to INDRODA park if you visit Ahmedabad or Gandhinagar.
It is about 28 kms from Ahmedabad & at the out skirts of Gandhinagar( Capital of Gujarat)
Wear sports shoes of any comfortable footwear as you will have to walk a lot unless you rent a bicycle.
Take good amount of snacks & water with you as you will not find anything to purchase inside the park. There is drinking water facility available but not hyginec.
Carry good camera or handycam along as you will find lots of natural scenes around to click or shoot.
Enjoy the wild life at INDRODA NATURE PARK.
