MANALI TRIP-SOLANG VALLEY

Just 13kms away from Manali, Solang Valley is a place for adventure sports. One can enjoy Paragliding, Zorbing etc. here. Its a beautiful place. We did not enjoy the adventure sport but we did adventure on horses. The horse ride was of 2.5kms to a temple via small bridge made of logs & stones where we had to walk after the horses stopped. There was a bit of snow there also which was surprising for us as it was a warm day. We met a canadian couple there who offered us to take a family photograph of ours. We also enjoyed the horse ride back where the horseman showed us the place where the shooting of film "Kkrish" took place. Nice place to be but to our dissappointment the ropeway was closed for few days.

MANALI TRIP-ROHTANG PASS

The most beautiful place I have ever seen with naked eyes. We got up at 4.30am in the morning to go to Rohtang and left the hotel at 5.30am as out taxi reached late. Rohtang is about 50kms from Manali but it took around 3 hours for us to reach there. We had to hire the Snow costumes on the way at Kothi village. Our Taxi person Khushalbhai had a relative there so we got it in low rates. We reached Rohtang around 8.30am. On the way we experienced the thrill by seeing the walls of snow on both sides of the road. Specially at Rani Nala (Where the shooting of "Jab We Met" song was done) was amazing. We reached at the top of Rohtang and there was this desert of snow. Beautiful and chilling. We enjoyed a lot there and to the surprise of all there the snow started to come down. There was a snow fall for about 20 mins. which is unusual in the month of May as per the local people there. We were out of our car & enjoyed every bit of snow fall.
